Description:
Attached: "S2-3 COPYRIGHT UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD, N.Y. PROMINENT GIRLS TO DRIVE AMBULANCES ABROAD. Left to right: Hilda S. Ambler of Bridgeport, Conn and Phyllis K. Martin of Brookline, Mass formerly of Canada, who have announced their intentions of joining the Volunteer Ambulance Division to drive ambulances abroad. Both of the girls have considerable nursing experience which they hope will help them in their work of hymanity. Miss Ambler is only nineteen years old. The girls are in the British flying corps uniform. They are able mechanics and drivers. They know how to repair their machines. A breakdown means nothing to them for they can diagnose the case in a moment and all will be well again. 11/1/17."
