Attached: "168653 F.C. COPYRIGHT UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD, N.Y. REMARKABLE PHOTO -- READING THE PROCLAMATION FROM TOWER OF DAVID ON BRITISH ENTRY INTO HOLY CITY. General Allenby's proclamation being read to the populace of the city before the staff of the Allied arms, from the steps of the David, a building that was standing in the time of Christ. After the reading of the proclamation in English by an officer, translations in 6 languages, French, Italian, Greek, Russian, Arabian and Hebrew were used. This unusual photogrph shows a front view of the officers standing in line. General Allenby is standing in the centre. 1/18/18."
