Attached: "168860 F.C. COPYRIGHT UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD, N.Y. HEROIC BRITISH HELLO GIRLS DECORATED FOR BRAVERY. The Brave British telephone girls who stayed at their boards during the air raids and continued to perform their most necessary work. The medal of the Most Excellent order of the British Empire has been conferred upon the girls by King George. In this photo is Miss. M.E. Clarke at work at thr [sic] exchange, one of the girls who received the decoration. 2/21/18."
