On a specially constructed railway that runs within a suitable range of the German lines these armored cars with the big ISO M/M guns mounted on them are run, and they hammer the German lines with terrific bombardments, until the enemy lines are cleared, and the French Infantry can advance. This most remarkable photograph shows a line of the armored cars with the powerful guns. It is the first photohgraph of its kind to arrive in this country. They are manned by French Marine gunners. 3/6/18."

This French Official photo, the latest to arrive in this country, showing the training of our boys in France, shows French officers teaching steel-helmeted Yankee fighters the use of the gun grenade, called Tromblons. The American troopers in France are receiving individual instruction in the ways of modern warfare. This scene is duplicated many times in different sections of the camp, a half dozen Americans being shown the intricacies of the new fire arm by their French comrades. The grenade is attached to the rifle, and is dispatched towards the enemy lines in much the same fashion as the bullet. 10/22/17."

Atop one of the Caterpillar tractors of the tank Great Britain has sent over to help us raise our second Liberty Loan, this American officer is making an appeal for recruits to a gathering in Madison Square, New York. The tank which probably will be christened "America" rumbled over from the pier at which it had landed to Madison Sqaure this morning, to the amazement of New Yorkers who saw this strange monster making its way through the busy streets of the city. From Madison Square it will journey up Fifth Avenue in the great Liberty Loan parade and then over to its place beside the captured U-boat "U-BUY-A-BOND" on the sheep meadow in Central Park. 10/25/17."

The photo shows two well covered as a protection from fencing swords, fencing on horseback, in one of the camps "somewhere in the United States. The ticking over their bodies, the queer shaped helmet and the rest of their equipage all tend to form the impression of a knight errant-- come back.
