Hitherto it has been carpeted, but the wear and tear of legislative feet, not to mention cigar and cigarette butts, proved so wearing that a delicate blue and buff rubber covering has been substituted, at a saving of several thousand dollars each session. Photo shows workmen placing the new covering on the chamber floor"
