Attached: "168464 F.C. COPYRIGHT COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC INFORMATION FROM UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD, N.Y. RELEASED FEB. 14-1918." TESTING THE PLANE BEFORE THE FLIGHT. They make all the chances in the world fighting the Germans, but "Never Take a Chance" is the slogan adopted by the air corps when it comes to seeing that every plane is in first class condition before it goes up. Every machine is thoroughly tested by expert mechanicians before its pilot takes it up. 2/12/18." Released for Feb. 14-1918." Readers of the [gap] who wish a photographic copy of this picture can obtain it by sending ten cents to the Diviwion [sic: division] of Pictures, Committee on Public Information, Wash. D.C. Inclose this clipping or mention photo No. 2387. 2/12/18."
